Resources: Revising Your Research Paper; and peer review
of your paper
·
Write a 200- to 300-word response to the following:
o
What
feedback did you receive from the Center for Writing Excellence, your peer
reviewer, and your facilitator?
o
Explain
what feedback you will incorporate and what feedback you will not incorporate
into your paper. Include a rationale for your choices.
The feedback I received from the plagiarism checker only
showed me small few word combinations I had already received from another
website and was of little help. Every
plagiarism offense was less than one percent.
The longest word usages were the series of disease symptoms that can be
found on dozens of websites. The WritePoint
tool gave me many suggestions I will not use.
Such as use of the passive voice in much of my writing. In several places it is the only word usage I
can use to make sense of my writing. In
these cases I will not be using the WritePoint’s suggestion. Several places it suggested word usage that I
will use. My peer viewer gave me a lot
of positive feedback but no real useable information. Basically it was just one long way of saying
“good job!” In the long run, “good job”
isn’t really usable. My instructor also
gave me positive feedback. The positive
feedback from my peer reviewer and my instructor gave me a good sense of how
well my paper is coming along. I will
use the peer reviewer feedback and my instructor feedback to give me a sense of
accomplishment while I finish up my paper.
