Write a 200- to 300-word response to the following
questions:
o
Now
that you have finished your research paper, what advice would you provide for
students starting this course?
o
What
would you do differently if you were just starting the course? On what would
you focus more? On what would you focus less? Explain your answers.
The
one thing that I could best recommend for new students is to start their
research paper in the first few weeks and not leave it for the last week.
Utilizing the entire nine weeks to do the paper will not only give you the time
needed to do proper research, but also will enhance your paper to your best
since you did not try to cram it into one week or even one day. Unfortunately if it was not for the varied
assignments throughout this course that forced me to pay attention to my
research paper before the ninth week, I would not have any part of my paper
done ahead of time. I am very good about
getting things done on time but I often procrastinate as long as possible
before something is due. This is the one
thing I would change, or at least try to change, if given to do the course over
again. I would definitely focus more on
my research of my paper than I have given in the past few weeks. Research is one of my strong points and
something I love to do, so I can generally find what I want fairly quickly. Since I know this already, I have lent my
focus this nine weeks to my other class which is mostly knew to me and have
been struggling with a little more than this one. I can not say there is anything I would have
focus less on; I believe I gave everything the most I could. I did enjoy taking this class and would
definitely recommend it for other students.
