CheckPoint: Multiple Intelligences
Due Date: Day 3 [Individual]
forum
Conduct research
online regarding the strongest of your multiple intelligences. Find three Web
sites which accurately describe that intelligence. If you identified more than one
dominant intelligence, choose only one for your research. Note that your
classmates will be reviewing your responses in Discussion Question 2, so make
sure that your answers are complete.
Post the following
information:
o Links to the three Web sites that describe the
intelligence
o A 50-word description, written by you, of your
strongest intelligence
o A 50-word summary describing how each site either
reinforced or contradicted something about yourself
I scored the same in two areas; I am picking
Visual/Spatial since it best suits me in my opinion. I learn better and easier when I can SEE the
information. I tell people often, “If I
don’t write it down I will not remember, but if I do write it down then I don’t
need the note”. I need to mentally
translate words into pictures before I can write it down, which includes words
and numbers. I do very well with maps and puzzles.
The websites I visited do reinforce how I know I learn
best. This IS me. Wikipedia hinted at the correlation between
spatial and mathematical abilities. My
Logical/Mathematical intelligence score was high but not the highest. I would have to agree, since in my case it is
true. Math is by far my easiest subject,
and algebra was the subject I enjoyed the most in school.
